PML-N emerges victorious in PP-84 Khushab by-poll
Khushab: As per unofficial results, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate emerged victorious in the PP-84 Khushab by-election after securing 73,081 votes and trounced the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday.
According to an unconfirmed count, PML-N’s Moazzam Sher Kallu secured 73,081 votes to win the PP-84 Khushab by-polls while Ali Hussain Baloch of PTI came second place, with 62,903 votes.

Following the victory, Moazzam Sher Kallu turned to twitter and wrote, " Alhamdullilah, I am deeply grateful to the people of Khushab".

Polling for constituency of Khushab by-election continued uninterrupted till 5 pm. Voters at the polling station were allowed to cast their votes even after the polling period ended.
The Election Commission had made all necessary arrangements to hold the elections in peaceful manner.
Strict security arrangements were made outside all the polling stations in the constituency, preparations at various polling stations were incomplete and polling could not start on time.
Around 229 polling stations have been established in the constituency to facilitate 292,687 registered voters, to freely cast their vote in the by-polls.
At least 14 polling stations have been declared sensitive while 43 were extremely delicate and monitored with the help of CCTV cameras.
The government appointed ten teams to monitor the electoral process all the way to the announcement of the results.
The seat fell vacant after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Malik Muhammad Waris died from Covid-19.
Total eight candidates were vying for the PA seat and there was a tough contest between PTI candidate Ali Hasnain, PML-N candidate Muazzam Sher Kalu and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Ghulam Habib.
