IHC suspended the detention of PTI President under 3MPO and ordered his release.

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday suspended Chaudhry Parvez Elahi's detention under Three Maintenance of Public Order (3MPO).
According to details, IHC suspended Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President and former Chief Minister Punjab Pervez Elahi's detention under 3MPO and ordered his release.
Notably, earlier Lahore High Court (LHC) had issued orders for release of PTI President Parvez Elahi and that no agency or authority would arrest him. However, Islamabad police arrested Parvez Elahi as soon as he left the court despite judicial order.
LHC had expressed its anger over the arrest of former chief minister of Punjab despite the court order and ordered Sessions Judge Attock to recover Parvez and present him in court while the court also issued a contempt of court notice to Inspector General (IG) Islamabad.
However, the bench of Lahore High Court judge who ordered the recovery of Parvez Elahi has been changed.
