Dubai: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominations for the ICC Player of the Month for August.

Two Pakistani cricketers, Captain Babar Azam and All-rounder Shahdab Khan, have been nominated for the prestigious award.

Both players have been nominated for their outstanding performances during the Asia Cup matches against Afghanistan and Nepal.

In the match against Nepal, Babar Azam played an impressive inning, scoring 151 runs off 131 balls.

On the other hand, Shahdab Khan took four wickets in just 6.4 overs, conceding 27 runs.

If Babar Azam wins the award, it will be his third ICC Player of the Month accolade.

Apart from the Pakistani duo, West Indies' Nicholas Pooran has also been nominated for the Player of the Month award.

The winner of the Player of the Month award will be determined through a combination of fans' votes and voting by the Voting Academy.
