Colombo: India's victory against Sri Lanka in Asia Cup Super-Four match has made the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka scheduled for Thursday in the semi-finals of the event.
India's victory on Tuesday has eased the calculation for Pakistan and all they have to do is win the match against Sri Lanka without worrying about the run rate.
In the Asia Cup Super-Four stage, India has won both the matches and got four points. Pakistan and Sri Lanka have lost one of the two matches and both have two points each.
The teams of Pakistan and Sri Lanka will compete on Thursday in the Super Four stage match and the winner of this match will qualify for the final of Asia Cup 2023.
However, Pakistani fans now have to pray that rain does not affect the match in Colombo on Thursday because if the match does not result and both teams get one point each, then Pakistan team will be out of the race for finals based on the net run rate. Therefore Sri Lanka will play the final with Indian team.
