CM Punjab sets deadline for construction, maintenance of churches'
Mohsin Naqvi directed the government team to visit Jaranwala and submit a report to him.
Lahore: Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Raza Naqvi, has issued a directive to expedite the construction and maintenance of 13 churches in Jaranwala within two weeks.
This decision came during a high-level meeting where the progress on matters related to the events of May 9 and Jaranwala was assessed.
In addition to this, the Chief Minister instructed that all challans pertaining to the May 9 incidents in Lahore should be presented within three days.
Furthermore, he emphasized the need for the prompt implementation of daily trials for the accused individuals who are currently in jail.
During the meeting, it was reported that the construction and renovation of nine churches in Jaranwala had already been completed.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed his determination to ensure that the remaining 13 churches were also swiftly renovated and constructed.
