Karachi: Rangers seized 69 water tankers during the operation against water thieves in different areas of Karachi.
According to Sindh Rangers spokesman, the grand operation against illegal hydrants was conducted in Ayub Goth, Pakhtunabad, Firdous Colony, Nazimabad, Manghopir, Jamshed Quarter and Qayyumabad areas of Karachi.
The operation was conducted against 11 illegal hydrants including Kashmir hydrant and Shaker hydrant. 69 water tankers were also taken into custody during the operation.
According to the spokesman, a total of 25 water pumps, 12 generators, pipes, electric cables and other stolen goods were also taken into custody and 75 accused were also detained during the operation.
The spokesman further said that Pakistan Rangers Sindh will continue operations till the complete elimination of illegal hydrants.
