Authorities confiscated 3500 liters of counterfeit milk, 48 kilograms of artificial ghee, and 37 kilograms of fake powdered milk during the raid.

Lahore: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has discarded 3,500 litres of adulterated milk during a crackdown on counterfeit dairy production in Lahore on Monday.
The PFA-led dairy safety experts raided the Ghulam Abbas Haveli in Chunian, where they discovered a highly developed business devoted to creating fake milk products.
The food safety team raided the operating unit in the residence after receiving a tip, and they were captured making milk powder in plain sight.
Authorities confiscated 3500 liters of counterfeit milk, 48 kilograms of artificial ghee, and 37 kilograms of fake powdered milk during the raid.
Two milk carts, two mixing machines, and drum conveyors that were used in the illegal production process were also seized as a result of the operation.
Raja Jahangir Anwar, the director general of the Food Authority, claimed that a mixture of powder, water, vegetable oil, and secret chemicals was used to make the fake milk.
He stressed the risks of ingesting such subpar milk, cautioning that it could result in a number of gastrointestinal and intestinal disorders.
The PFA has filed legal charges against the participants in this illegal action. Further inquiries are being conducted in order to identify the whole network responsible after a case was registered.
