Umarkot: A tragic event occurred on Friday when a passenger van overturned near Mirpur Khas road in Umarkot, resulting in at least three fatalities and more than 30 passengers suffering serious injuries.
Details indicate that the unfortunate van's passengers were traveling to Tandlianwala Tehsil to attend the Ramapir Mela celebration.
After receiving data, rescue personnel and police arrived on the scene and shifted the injured and deceased to a local hospital.
Local officials have started an inquiry into the occurrence, although the actual reason of the tragedy has not yet been identified.
Earlier in the day, in a tragic incident, three killed were killed, while 15 sustained the injuries as a passenger bus on its way to Lahore from Peshawar overturned on the highway in Sargodha.
According to details, police and rescue teams reached the spot soon after getting the information of the incident and shifted the killed and injured to the nearby hospital for quick medical assistance.
Rescue officials stated that the condition of five out of 15 people injured in the accident is critical.
They also told that a passenger bus overturned due to a tire burst near the Kot Momin interchange on the highway.
Police however, cordoned of the area to start and investigation into the incident to ascertain the real cause.
