New Delhi: India has raised concerns over a recent statement made by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan regarding the Kashmir issue.
The statement was delivered during a special meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir Contact Group, which convened on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting saw the participation of foreign ministers from various countries, including Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's support for Muslim nations striving to safeguard their Islamic identity and dignity.
He also expressed Saudi Arabia's willingness to assist nations facing turmoil, including the residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

He warned that if the Kashmir problem remains unresolved, it could lead to increased instability in the region.

The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, also stressed the importance of resolving the Kashmir issue during his address at the 78th session of the General Assembly.
