Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday released the data of registered voters across Punjab for general elections across the country.

According to the documents of Election Commission, the total number of registered voters in the province of Punjab is more than 72.10 million.

Compared to 2018, the number of voters in Punjab has increased by over 11.6 million voters. The number of registered male voters in Punjab is 38.72 million while the number of female voters is 35.99 million.

The documents stated that compared to 2018, the number of registered women voters in Punjab increased by more than 6.5 million voters, while the number of male voters increased by 5.39 million.

Among the 41 districts of Punjab, the largest number of voters is in Lahore district. The number of registered voters in Lahore is over 6.2 million. The total population of Lahore is more than 12.08 million, out of which the number of male voters in Lahore is over 3.5 million while the number of female voters is over 3.1 million.

District Murree has the lowest number of voters in Punjab. The total number of registered voters in Murree district is 290,931.

The spokesperson of Election Commission said that the upcoming general elections will be held on the above voter lists without any changes.
