I don’t want to move to Adiala, I’m fine in Attock Jail: Imran Khan
The Chairman PTI will ask lawyers to withdraw the transfer request to Adiala Jail.
Islamabad: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan gave his statement during the hearing of the Cypher Case in Islamabad Tuesday.
The PTI Chairman stated that he doesn’t want to get transferred to Adiala Jail, he will ask his lawyers to withdraw the transfer request.
According to the sources, the PTI Chairman doesn’t want a transfer as he is adjusted in Attock Jail.
Imran Khan gave his statement in front of the Special Court Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain.
Speaking to the media, Chairman PTI’s lawyer Latif Khosa said that Imran Khan has clearly said that he is not scared whether the opposition kept him in Attock or Adiala Jail.
Latif Khosa added that he told Imran Khan that he himself requested that he be transferred to Adiala Jail, to which the Chairman said that I applied for the transfer two months ago, I wasn’t aware that the hearing would get scheduled in Islamabad High Court (IHC) and the court will give a decision.
Imran Khan’s lawyer Latif Khosa made clear that the PTI Chairman could get transferred to Adiala Jail as per the court decision, and no one raised any objection against it.
While talking about the hearing of the Cypher Case Latif Khosa stated that court staff and Special Court Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain came to Attock jail, and the court has extended Imran Khan's judicial remand till October 10.
The Lawyer remarked that there was no reason to extend the judicial remand of Imran Khan; I think keeping Chairman PTI in jail even for a single day is an abuse of the country and an insult to the people of Pakistan
Latif Khosa stated that this case hurt the honor and dignity of Pakistan, as this case is similar to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's Cypher case.
He added that as Cypher was waved in Rawalpindi’s Raja Bazaar, America threatened Bhutto that “if you don’t stop making an atomic bomb, we will teach you a lesson”.
Latif Khosa said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto made a statement in the National Assembly of Pakistan that the United States was imposing sanctions and threatening us, he also took the nation into confidence and the entire nation was with him.
