Capcom announced at Tokyo Game Show 2023 that Resident Evil Village for the iPhone 15 Pro phones and M1-and-up iPads will debut on October 30th. The game will cost $39.99 — $10 more than the macOS version — with the Winters’ Expansion DLC pack also available for another $19.99. The Resident Evil 4 remake for iPhones, iPads, and Macs is listed on Capcom’s site as “available 2023.”

Resident Evil Village’s iPhone port might launch a day before Halloween
Capcom lists an October 30th release date for Resident Evil Village for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPad on its US site.

Capcom says preorders for both games will hit the Apple App Store “soon.” The company adds that if you order Village and Winters’ Expansion during a launch window that the company will announce later, you’ll get an extra costume for Rosemary Winters in the Shadows of Rose DLC.
Notably, while Village doesn’t offer Apple’s Universal Purchase, Capcom’s site says Resident Evil 4 will, meaning when you buy the app for one Apple platform, you can download and play it on others.
Capcom shared some screenshots from both games running in iOS or iPadOS:

In a peek at Village running on the iPhone 15 Pro last week, the game appeared to legitimately run on par with what you’d expect from high-end dedicated portable gaming hardware like the Steam Deck. To reiterate: you’ll need a 2021 or later iPad Pro, 2022 iPad Air, or an iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max to run Village, so you’ll need to upgrade to Apple’s titanium-edged phone if you want to see the scary, tall vampire lady running natively on your iPhone.
Capcom’s latest entry in its ongoing series of survival horror games was a big part of Apple’s iPhone 15 event, along with the Resident Evil 4 remake, Death Stranding, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and The Division Resurgence. Apple used the games to show off the capability of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max phones’ new 6-core GPU.
Update September 25th, 2023 11:52AM ET: Added details from a press release Capcom shared with The Verge via email, as well as details about Universal Purchase.
