Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) Wednesday ordered Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Raza Naqvi to appear on October 16 in the case related to the altered translation of the Holy Quran.

According to details, Justice Shujaat Ali Khan heard the case related to the reformed translation of the Holy Quran in the Lahore High Court.

The court ordered the caretaker prime minister to appear on October 16 and also summoned the caretaker chief minister of Punjab for the next hearing.

Justice Shujaat Ali Khan remarked that the report of the federal government has not come for eight months.

The lawyer of the federation said: “We will submit the reports”, the court remarked that you have come here for sightseeing, why the report has not been submitted? This case is neither yours nor the courts’, it belongs to all of us.

Justice Shujaat Ali Khan expressed his indignation saying that we will call the Chief Executive of the country. Caretaker Prime Minister should come and answer himself, it seems that the matter was not placed before Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar.

On the request of more time from the lawyer of the federation, the court remarked that if you were serious, you would have submitted a report to us. The caretaker prime minister should appear and clarify his position.
