Severe heat in Sindh, heavy rains in Punjab predicted
PDMA has issued an alert in view of possible heavy rains in Punjab.
Karachi: There is a possibility of increase in heat intensity in Southern Sindh including Karachi, while rains have been predicted in Punjab.
According to the Meteorological Department, in the next three to four days, the weather is likely to remain hot in Southern Sindh, including Karachi, due to which the mercury may touch 38 to 40 degrees Celsius in Karachi, Thatta, Badin and Hyderabad.
Department of Meteorology stated that weather in Karachi is likely to be very hot and dry on Saturday, during which the temperature can reach 39 to 41 degrees Celsius.
On the other hand, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert in view of possible heavy rains in Punjab.
According to PDMA, there are chances of rain in various districts of Punjab during September 28 to 30. The last spell of monsoon is likely to start with dangerous gales and storms.
According to PDMA, there is a possibility of a significant drop in temperature due to rains.
