ECP moved for removal of Interim PM Kakar, advisors
The petitioner urged the ECP to fire Ahad Cheema, Fawad Hasan Fawad, and Principal Secretary to PM Syed Toqeer Hussain.
A lawyer Syed Azizuddin Kakakhel on Friday filed a petition in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to remove interim Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar from office.
The applicant also pleaded the ECP to remove Ahad Cheema, Fawad Hasan Fawad and Principal Secretary to PM Syed Toqeer Hussain from their posts.
The petition claimed that because these people are part of the interim government, election transparency is impossible.
The petition demands that these individuals be fired "if the government wants a transparent election."
The Supreme Court lawyer Syed Azizuddin Kakakhel, argues that these individuals, having been part of the previous government, could potentially influence the upcoming elections.
Additionally, the petitioner urged the ECP to fire Ahad Cheema, Fawad Hasan Fawad, and Principal Secretary to PM Syed Toqeer Hussain.
