President approved the appointment under Article 196 of the Constitution.


Karachi: President Dr. Arif Alvi Saturday approved the appointment of Justice Irfan Saadat Khan as Acting Chief Justice Sindh High Court (SHC).
According to details, President of the State Dr. Arif Alvi has approved the appointment of Sindh High Court's most senior judge, Justice Irfan Saadat Khan, as Acting Chief Justice of Sindh High Court. The Ministry of Law and Justice has issued a notification.
According to the statement released by the President's Press Wing, the President approved the appointment under Article 196 of the Constitution.
It should be noted that the present Chief Justice of Sindh High Court, Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh, will retire from the post on October 2.
Justice Irfan Saadat Khan will perform the duties of the post until the appointment of the permanent Chief Justice Sindh High Court by Judicial Commission.
