IHC to pronounce verdict on nine bail pleas of Imran Khan today
Former prime minister Imran Khan had filed an appeal to bar the arrest till the final decision of the respective courts in these cases.
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will pronounce its verdict on nine bail petitions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan today (Monday).
According to details, Islamabad High Court has released the cause list for protective verdict. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri will deliver the verdict. Sessions Court and Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) had dismissed Imran Khan's non-compliance bails.
Former prime minister Imran Khan had filed an appeal to bar the arrest till the final decision of the respective courts in these cases.
In the petition of Chairman PTI, it was maintained that nine bail appeals should be considered as pending in the respective courts.
The appeal added that in these nine cases, arrest should be prevented until the final decision of the respective courts who should be directed to announce the verdict on merit.
These include three cases of May 09 and three cases of protest in Islamabad, while cases of Toshakhana forgery, violation of Section 144 and attempted murder are also included.
