30 shops sealed in Khushab over SOP violation
Khushab: The district administration of Khushab has sealed 30 shops over violation of coronavirus Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
According to details, the district administration along with officials of Pakistan army conducted raids in various parts of city and sealed 30 shops over SOP violation.
The shops were sealed in the areas of Khushab Ghalla Mandi, Joharabad, Daka Khana Chowk, Main Bazaar and Chori Bazar.
Heavy fines have also been imposed on the shop owners.
“Violation of SOPs not acceptable,” said AC Khushab Nauman Mahmood.
Pakistan is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves. In view of that, government has completely banned commercial activities during Eid holidays.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 2,869 cases of coronavirus were reported while 104 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 19,106.
The positivity rate of new cases after a decline was recorded at 7.42%, the NCOC said. The total number of confirmed cases reached to 867,438.
As many as 766,492 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,859 critical cases.
