Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday indicated to give a decision in two to three days on the appeal of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan against his jail trial and the appointment of the trial court judge in cypher case.

According to details, the Chief Justice of IHC Aamer Farooq said that the decision on the petition against jail trial and judge appointment is already reserved, not till Monday but will try to give the decision in two to three days.

When the Chief Justice Islamabad High Court heard the petition of former Prime Minister Imran Khan for early decision, Advocate Sher Afzal Marwat appeared in the court on behalf of Chairman PTI.

Sher Afzal Marwat said: “The jail trial of the cypher case has started but the decision has not come on our appeal. The cypher case is scheduled for hearing again on Monday”.

The Chief Justice Aamer Farooq replied that he will do it quick, not on Monday but will decide in two or three days.

Chief Justice inquired that it has appeared in the media that you have objection over transfer of Imran Khan to Adiala Jail. Your own petition was for transfer him from Attock to Adiala Jail which got approved, then why is it being discussed so much by you in the press.

Sher Afzal Marwat Advocate replied: “No such official statement has been made by us”.

Aamir Farooq added that he was surprised that why PTI had objected the decision whereas it was their own petition.

Sher Afzal Marwat replied to the court: “We were told that PTI chief Imran Khan would be residing in B class of Adiala Jail however it did not happen”.
