Washington: In response to Russia's expulsion of diplomats, the US also ordered two Russian diplomats to leave the country.
According to Arab media, the US official said that Russian actions to harass American diplomats will not be accepted at all.
He stated that the expulsion of Russian diplomats is a clear message that the unacceptable behavior meted out to our diplomats in Moscow will have the same consequences.
It is pertinent to note that that the US Deputy Chief of Mission Bart Gorman was expelled from the country by Russia last year.
Russia issued a statement that the decision to send the American diplomat back to their country was made in response to the expulsion of Russian diplomats from the United States.
