Hyderabad: In the eighth match of the ICC ODI World Cup, Pakistan is facing off against Sri Lanka, and Sri Lanka has won the toss and elected to bat first.
This highly anticipated match is taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, where Sri Lanka's captain Dasun Shanaka extended the invitation to Pakistan's captain Babar Azam to take the field.
A significant change has been made in Pakistan's national team lineup today, with Abdullah Shafiq being included in the team in place of the opener, Fakhar Zaman.
Both teams are participating in their second match of the event.
Pakistan marked a resounding victory over the Netherlands by 81 runs in their first match, while Sri Lanka faced a defeat at the hands of South Africa by 102 runs in their opening game of this mega event.
