The news came as a shock to people as Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had forecasted that there was a very slight chance of moon being sighted. Moreover, Information Fawad Chaudhry had also predicted yesterday that Eid will fall on Friday, saying that the Shawwal crescent could not be sighted on Wednesday as the age of the moon in Pakistan was 13 hours and 42 minutes at that time.
