Gal Gadot gets severe backlash for tweet on Israeli atrocities
Hollywood's Wonder Woman has received severe criticism for a tweet on the current war that Israel is waging on Palestinians.

"My heart breaks. My country is at war,” Gadot posted in a statement on Twitter on Wednesday. “I worry for my family, my friends. I worry for my people. This is a vicious cycle that has been going on for far too long. Israel deserves to live as a free and safe nation. Our neighbors deserve the same. I pray for the victims and their families, I pray for this unimaginable hostility to end, I pray for our leaders to find the solution so we could live side by side in peace. I pray for better days.”
The actress was immediately criticised for not naming the Palestinians, and for supporting Israel. Gadot, who is signed up for the third Wonder Woman, has previously sided with Israel too in other conflicts where the apartheid state has rained missiles on unarmed Palestinians.
Gadot, who has served with Israeli Defense Services in the past, has landed in trouble repeatedly because of her support for Israel. In 2017, Lebanon’s Ministry of Economy banned the release of “Wonder Woman” over Gadot’s involvement and the country’s war with Israel.
