Lahore: Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi visited Children Hospital Lahore and ordered to add 36 beds on the ground floor of the medical emergency of the hospital.
According to details, Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid uniformed visit to the Children's Hospital late at night. Provincial Minister Bilal Afzal, Inspector General of Police and Secretary Construction and Communications were also accompanied.
Mohsin Naqvi inspected the medical emergency on the ground floor, the new baby ward on the first floor and the under construction emergency ward.
Following the instructions of Chief Minister, the number of beds were immediately implanted in the available space of the medical emergency which was appreciated by the minister.
Mohsin Naqvi met the children under treatment asking the mothers about the facilities provided while also giving instructions to the hospital management and doctors regarding the best treatment for the children.
The Chief Minister inquired about the welfare of the children under treatment in the new baby ward. The mother of a child named Ihtesham complained about four days delay in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mohsin Naqvi directed the Director of Medical Services (DMS) and duty doctor to conduct the MRI immediately.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed displeasure at the presence of three children per bed in the new baby ward. He ordered the hospital administration to improve the beds management, cleaning arrangements in the baby ward.
He reviewed the ongoing construction works in the under-construction emergency and also ordered to speed up the construction activities.
On this occasion, he directed that a record of ACs, furniture and other items removed during the construction work should be compiled and doctors' rooms should also be upgraded.
