Fourth hurricane warning issued as Arabian Sea braces for intensifying cyclonic storm near Karachi and Gwadar.

Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has raised the alarm, issuing a fourth warning for an approaching cyclone in the Arabian Sea, near the coastlines of Karachi and Gwadar.
With a growing sense of urgency, meteorologists are closely monitoring the evolving situation in the south-western Arabian Sea, where a storm that has rapidly intensified, is now classified as a severe cyclonic storm.
According to the latest reports from the Department of Meteorology, the storm has generated waves as high as 25 feet.
It currently resides approximately 1,880 kilometers from Karachi and 1,670 kilometers from Gwadar.
However, meteorologists predict that the intensifying storm, which goes by the name "Tej," is likely to head towards the ports of Oman and Yemen as it develops further.
Reassuringly, the Meteorological Department has clarified that there is no immediate threat to the coastal areas of Pakistan as a result of the storm.
Nonetheless, as the storm continues to gain strength, it is projected to transform into a very severe cyclonic storm.
The Met Office reports that "Tej" is presently positioned 750 kilometers from Salalah, with winds raging at speeds between 100 to 110 kilometers per hour at the storm's center, and gusts even exceeding 120 kilometers per hour.
