3,911 Afghans have been found involved in various crimes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year.
Islamabad: The process of repatriation of Afghan citizens residing illegally in Pakistan continues and so far a total of 67,980 Afghan refugees have returned to their homeland.
Afghan citizens are returning to their country through Torkham and Chaman border. On October 24, 3,185 Afghan citizens including 670 men, 593 women and 1922 children have returned to their country.
274 families returned to their homeland in 103 vehicles for departure to Afghanistan.
It is pertinent to note that the federal government has given a deadline of October 31 to the illegally staying foreigners to leave Pakistan, after which many families have returned to Afghanistan.
According to Afghan Commissionerate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the number of registered Afghan refugees in the province is one million. 775 thousand Afghans entered Pakistan illegally, out of which more than 300,000 of them are those who came to Pakistan after the establishment of Taliban government.

According to an estimate, the number of Afghans residing in Balochistan is said to be around 850 thousand out of which 2,50,000 are residing illegally.
