Lahore claims the highest spot on the list of heavily polluted cities.
Lahore: Lahore's air quality has reached alarmingly harmful levels, ranking first among the world's polluted cities with an air quality index reading of 290.
Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, also ranks among the most polluted cities, securing the fourth position with an index of 173.
New Delhi, India's capital, stands as the second most polluted city globally, boasting an air quality index of 210.
It's essential to note that pollution levels ranging from 151 to 200 are considered harmful to health, while levels from 201 to 300 are deemed extremely harmful.
Any reading exceeding 301 is indicative of dangerously high pollution.
