Israeli police detain Arab-Israeli actress over support for Hamas
The actress was detained on charges of supporting terrorism by Israeli police.

Tel Aviv: Israeli authorities have apprehended the renowned Arab-Israeli actress, Maisa Abdel Hadi, on charges of voicing support for the Palestinian group Hamas via her social media posts.
While Israeli police initially refrained from naming the actress, they later confirmed her identity.
Maisa Abdel Hadi shared images of 85-year-old prisoner Yafa Adar with cheerful emojis on the photo and video-sharing platform Instagram.
She also posted a video depicting Hamas fighters breaching the Gaza barrier and entering Israeli territory, which led to her detention.
In one of her captions for the video, Maisa Abdel Hadi wrote, 'Let's go Berlin style.'
The 37-year-old actress has an extensive portfolio, having appeared in numerous TV series, films, and dramas.
She received the Best Actress award at the Dubai Film Festival in 2011.
In 2021, Maisa Abdel Hadi sustained injuries during an Israeli forces operation while participating in a peaceful demonstration in Haifa.
This arrest comes on the heels of the brief detention of Arab-Israeli singer Dalal Abu Amna, who was held due to one of his social media posts earlier this week.
