The average AQI of the city has gone up to 445.


Lahore: With the change of weather, Lahore has settled on first place in the list of air pollution as average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the city was recorded at 445.
The smog has caused multiple diseases as the city of gardens is recording an alarming increase in air pollution. The average AQI of the city has gone up to 445, while the highest AQI recorded at 494 in Cantonment area of Lahore.
AQI of 447 in Amir Town area while Air Quality Index of DHA Phase-VIII has been recorded as 421.
Due to smog, diseases such as nose, ear, throat, eye irritation and breathing problems started to arise. Medical experts have issued instructions regarding the increasing air pollution and advised the citizens to use face masks and glasses.
