Zara Noor Abbas highlights the reality of depression
Prominent figures from the entertainment industry conveyed their condolences on the passing of Maulana Tariq Jameel's son.


Karachi: Pakistani actress Zara Noor Abbas expressed her condolences and shared thoughts on depression in the wake of the tragic death of Maulana Tariq Jameel's son, Asim Jameel.
Zara Noor Abbas emphasized that depression should not be underestimated, even within religious contexts, and cited Maulana Tariq Jameel's family as an example.
Asim Jameel, the son of prominent Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel, took his own life by shooting himself in the Talamba area of Khanewal district, Punjab, on the night of October 29.
This tragedy was confirmed by Asim's elder brother.
Various renowned figures from the entertainment industry expressed their sorrow over the loss of Maulana Tariq Jameel's son and offered prayers for strength and patience for the grieving family.
Zara Noor Abbas used her Instagram platform to address the misconception held by some who do not consider depression as a genuine illness.
She urged people to acknowledge that depression is a real and debilitating condition, which can affect anyone, regardless of their religious background.
Zara pointed to the fact that even in the home of a religious scholar like Maulana Tariq Jameel, someone like his son Asim could suffer from depression.
The actress stressed the importance of recognizing depression as a legitimate and serious illness.
She called on people to support those who may be struggling with depression and encouraged them to seek help from others.
Zara Noor Abbas expressed her deep condolences for the loss of Maulana Tariq Jameel's son and offered prayers, hoping that Asim Jameel finds a place in Jannat al-Firdous (the highest paradise) and peace in the hereafter.
