World Cup 2023: Pakistan to face New Zealand today
Thematch will be played at M. Channaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore, India at 10:00am PST.
Lahore: An important match of International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 2023 with be played between Pakistan and New Zealand in India today (Saturday).
According to details, to qualify for semi-finals it is important for Pakistan to beat the Kiwis with a good margin.
In the 35th match of the One Day International (ODI) cricket event, the teams of Pakistan and New Zealand will land at the M. Channaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore, India where match will be played at 10:00am Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
The Pakistani team has fully practiced batting, bolwing and fielding before the important match. Hasan Ali and Fakhar Zaman also participated in the practice session. There is a possibility of change in the national team in the match against New Zealand. Fast bowler Hasan Ali is expected to replace spinner Osama Mir in the team.
The fitness test of vice-captain Shadab Khan, who is suffering from injury, was also conducted which did not allow him to join the team.
There is also a possibility of rain, if the match does not take place today, Pakistan and New Zealand both teams will be given one point each.
In the World Cup 2023, Green team has played seven matches, out of which they have won three, while the New Zealand team has also played seven matches, winning four of it.
The Green Shirts are at the 6th place on the table with six points. New Zealand is 4th in the table with eight points.
The mutual record of ODI matches between Pakistan and New Zealand shows that green shirts are under pressure. 115 ODI matches have been played between the two teams, out of which Pakistan won 60 matches while 51 matches were won by the New Zealand, One match was tied while three matches remained without result.
