Thunderstorm, rain in various cities including Lahore
The rain will prove to be important in preventing against the effects of smog.
Lahore: There was rain with thunderstorm in various cities of Punjab including Lahore, after which the weather has become quite colder.
According to details, various areas of Lahore including Garhi Shahu, Abbott Road, Canal Road, Dharampura, Lakshmi Chowk, Nisbat Road, Kahna, Gajumata, Ferozepur Road, Sanda, Krishna Nagar, Bund Road, Ichra, Chungi Amarsadhu, Kalma Chowk, Barkat Market, Gulbarg, Gulshan Ravi and other areas received cloud cover in the morning.
After the rain, the minimum temperature of Lahore dropped below 15 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to be 20 degrees Celsius.
A significant reduction in air pollution is also expected due to rain, while it will prove to be important in preventing against the effects of smog.
The low-lying areas were flooded due to rain while the strong winds contributing in halting the power transmission system in different areas that caused the citizens suffer severe problems.
Apart from this, clouds rained in Pakpattan, Phalia, Sukheki, Wazirabad, Muridke, Chiniot, Okara, Sahiwal, Arifwala, Bahawalngar, Narowal, Gojra, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sangla Hill and other cities.
On the other hand, after the first light snowfall of winter in Murree, the weather turned very cold in the month of November.
Due to the rain, snow and cold winds, the severity of the cold increased. Murree administration completed the arrangements to provide better facilities to the tourists. 13 facilitation centers were established at different places. Alerts have been issued to the missionaries of the Highways Department to clear the snow.
