Lahore: In order to implement Section 144 in Lahore, the police have cracked down for the closure of Abid Market.
According to details, the police shut the shops in Abid Market, meanwhile a shopkeeper was detained for resisting.
It is pertinent to mention that Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore Ali Nasir Rizvi had ordered strict implementation of the smart lockdown imposed due to the intensity of smog.
Notably, the Punjab government had announced holiday on Friday in certain districts of Punjab to control smog.
Due to the smog situation, environmental and health emergency is enforced in six districts of Punjab including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Nankana Sahib and Hafizabad.
