Murtaza Solangi expresses concern over the recent statement made by President Dr Arif Alvi regarding the absence of level-playing field for all the political parties in the upcoming general elections.

Islamabad: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has said that the whole nation desires that the President should play his role as the symbol of the federation.
In a statement on social media platform X, he expressed concern over the recent statement made by President Dr Arif Alvi regarding the absence of level-playing field for all the political parties in the upcoming general elections.

He said the statement in the wake of the election seems to be in conflict with his constitutional role.
He asked the President to allow the constitutional institutions, specifically the Election Commission of Pakistan, to perform their duties without interference.
Murtaza Solangi said date for the elections has been announced and all political parties are allowed to engage in political activities within the established parameters of the constitution and the law.
He said those who advocated for a level playing field in the past are among those who even abandoned the election in the past.
He hoped that the President would prioritize his role as the head of state over any partisan affiliations, allowing the democratic process to unfold transparently and fairly for all political entities.
