Solangi affirms commitment to Constitution following KP CM's passing
The caretaker federal minister for information and broadcasting says the Governor, the Chief Secretary and the entire provincial government shall perform their duties accordingly.
Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has said that the spirit of the constitution is crystal clear and shall be followed in the letter and spirit after the sad demise of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Taking to X, Solangi said the Governor, the Chief Secretary and the entire provincial government shall perform their duties accordingly. He said there is no crisis and the new Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be appointed sooner rather than later. He said there is no room for any speculations.

Earlier in the day, Caretaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Muhammad Azam Khan was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Charsadda.
He was admitted in a private hospital last night due to stomach infection, after which he suffered a heart attack and passed away this morning.
The Namaz-e-Janaza of the departed soul was offered in Parang area of district Charsadda.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali, Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Chief Minister Sindh Maqbool Baqar, Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and people belonging to different walks of life attended the funeral prayer.
President Dr Arif Alvi, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and Information Minister Murtaza Solangi have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government announced three-day mourning from today across the province due to the sudden demise of Caretaker Chief Minister.
According to a notification, national flag will fly at half-mast in all the government offices and buildings throughout the province.
