United States President Joe Biden has approved the sale of precision-guided missiles to Israel on Monday.

The arms sales to Israel by the Biden administration were notified to Congress on May 5, a week before current Israel’s bombardment on Palestine began.
Washington plans to provide Israel with Joint Direct Attack Munitions.
These weapons can turn so-called "dumb bombs" into precision-guided missiles, an international newspaper wrote.
The proposed sale could be halted by the House Democrats as Washington’s support for Israel has increasingly come under scrutiny, particularly among the progressive caucus, the report said.
Over the weekend, Biden spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the escalation of violence between Israel and Palestine.
He reaffirmed "his strong support for Israel's right to defend itself against rocket attacks from Hamas and other terrorist groups in Gaza."
The current escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict began earlier this month when the situation began to disturb the peace of East Jerusalem over the decision of the Israeli courts to evict several Palestinian families from the region.
The condition in the Israel-Palestine Gaza Strip has turned worst in the last week killing over 200 Palestinians including 58 children.
The unrest began as the Israeli forces entered Masjid Al Aqsa while Muslims were offering night prayers. The situation has been deteriorating in the area since then and heavy rocket exchanges have resulted in chaos.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, more than 1,300 Palestinians have been injured amid tensions with Israel.
