Lahore: Punjab government and National Highways and Motorway Police signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which a ban will be imposed on entry of vehicles on motorways and highways without fitness certificate and route permit to curb the smog.
Addressing the MoU signing ceremony in Lahore, Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi said: “The Punjab government will build a trauma center at the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway with the support of the National Highway Authority (NHA)”.
Chief Minister Punjab also declared a holiday on this Saturday for schools and public sector offices across the province to curb smog.
