Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain has said that the accountability policy of Prime Minister Imran Khan is obvious that no man is above the law.

Taking to twitter, the information minister posted series of tweets and wrote that all citizens are equal before law during the tenure of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
“Investigations will be conducted if there are allegations. It doesn’t matter if the allegations are opposition leaders or members of cabinet or a bureaucrat. This is the change of the system that was promised by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI),” he said.
Referring to the Rawalpindi Ring Road corruption case, Fawad said that PM was informed that the project was extended by 23 kilometers to benefit the housing societies as a result of which the government had to pay Rs. 20 billion rupees to buy additional land.
“The Chief Minister Punjab and Commissioner Rawalpindi were asked to conduct probe and the initial investigation revealed that the Commissioner Rawalpindi, the former Commissioner and other officials were involved in the scandal. However, no evidence about the involvement of any minister or adviser has so far been found in the matter,” he said.
The information minister said that it is only during the tenure of PTI government that investigations are conducted when allegations surface.
Prime Minister Imran Khan's close aide and old-friend Zulfi Bukhari on Monday stepped down as Special Assistant to The Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis & HRD.
The development came when PM’s adviser's name emerged into Rawalpindi Ring Road corruption case of which NAB has also taken notice.
The Chairman of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) and National Tourism Coordination Board (NTCB), Zulfi Bukhari, decided to leave the office until his name is cleared up in the ongoing NAB inquiry of allegations regarding Ring Road.
According to the special assistant to PM, he has taken this step to promote PM’s vision and will not leave Pakistan until the inquiry concludes.
