Jahanzeb challenged the detention and took the stand that Khadija Shah was detained illegally.


Lahore: The detention of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist and renowned fashion designer Khadija Shah has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC) by her husband Jahanzeb Amin.
According to details, Khadija Shah's husband Jahanzeb Amin filed a petition in the Lahore High Court against her detention.
Jahanzeb challenged the detention and took the stand that Khadija Shah was detained illegally.
Along with this, the petitioner also requested that court should order to prevent Khadija Shah from being taken outside the limits of Lahore.
The petitioner has made the Federal Government, Deputy Commissioner Lahore and others party to the petition filed in the LHC.
Earlier on yesterday, the court ordered Khadija Shah to be detained for 30 days in connection with the events that took place on May 9, 2023.
It is pertinent to note that the police had arrested Khadija Shah in the case of arson and vandalism in Jinnah House Lahore.
