Nawaz Sharif says they believe in practical things rather than political rhetoric
The PML-N supremo indirectly comes down hard upon the PTI and its chairman, saying that he does not want to mislead the nation by telling a lie and making tall claims.

Murree: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that he does not speak, saying that “what will you get by telling a lie, because you have to answer at the end,”.
Nawaz Sharif said that they worked hard on the power sector to end load-shedding in the country.
“How the God will forgive when one is intentionally telling a lie and misleading the public?,” said Nawaz Sharif while speaking to the media during his stay in Murree on Thursday.
He said they believed in practical things rather than rhetoric.
“You can see the period after our government that the culture has been destroyed,” said the PML-N Supremo while indirectly referring to the PTI.
He said they saved Pakistan from default and said goodbye to the IMF, claiming that they did not borrow from the IMF. Two Indian prime ministers, he said, visited Pakistan while the US president offered him $5 billon to stop May 28 blasts.
“My consciousness does not allow me to get that money due to fear of God and for the sake of the country,” said Nawaz Sharif. The planners, he said, got him disqualified only on the ground of not getting salary from his own son.
Dollar, he said, was at Rs104 during our previous government, the vegetables and other things were available at the affordable prices while the people used to get their money saved for the marriages of their daughters.
He regretted that the national economy was destroyed when his government was ended.
“Today, a person who earns Rs20,000 to Rs25,000 monthly cannot support his family,” said Nawaz Sharif, urging the audience to think about the reasons behind all this.
“These people have committed injustice with Pakistan. And you people are still listening to their stories,” the PML-N supremo.
They, he said, kept him and Maryam Nawaz in jail just to get him [Imran Khan] into power. He stated that had the continuity been there the country would have been at the better stage. He also mentioned his previous governments and the subsequent removal of his governments.
“If you understand me then convey my message to the public. Our country should have been in the list of developed nations. I just feel regret over all these things. Anyway, May God help us to hold ourselves accountable,’ said Nawaz Sharif.
He said he said all these things not for the sake of any office.
“With God’s blessings, I became prime minister of this country for three times. I have no greed for any office,” he added.
Maryam Nawaz, the PML-N senior vice-president, was also present there, and she also addressed the audience and the workers present there in Murree.
She said Mian sahib spent four years in London and he served the country, and long ago, he spent seven years in Saudi Arabia.
“He is real son of soil,” said Maryam Nawaz.
She stated that Nawaz Sharif loved Murree and he used to demand the clips of the time he spent there. She recalled her summer vacations.
“I told him yesterday that we must change the fate of Murree if we get a chance again,” she added. The PML-N senior vice-president acknowledged the problems of the local residents, saying that the best projects should be here in Murree.
“Mian’s love with Murree will be visible to everyone during the next five years,” she added.
