Caretaker govt determined to hold free & fair elections: Solangi
The caretaker federal minister for information and broadcasting says all possible facilitation will be provided to the commission for the conduct of polls.
Islamabad: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has said the interim government is determined to hold free, fair and transparent elections in the country.
Talking to a delegation of Islamabad Policy Research Institute led by its President Major General retired Raza Muhammad in Islamabad on Thursday, he said all possible facilitation will be provided to the commission for the conduct of polls.
Murtaza Solangi said level playing field is being provided to all the political parties and there will be no discrimination.
He said state media is giving equal coverage to all the political parties in the country.
The Minister said development of consensus among all political parties is indispensable to improve political environment.
He said disinformation is a big challenge and all stakeholders have to play their role in eradicating fake news.
Murtaza Solangi said enabling environment will be provided to media during the elections.
The delegation lauded the commitment of the caretaker government to ensure free, fair and transparent elections.
