Islamabad: The meeting of Fauzia Siddiqui with her sister Dr. Aafia Siddiqui who is imprisoned in US jail has been confirmed by her lawyer.
According to the details, Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan of Islamabad High Court (IHC) heard the case of Aafia Siddiqui.
During the hearing, Fauzia Siddiqui's lawyer Imran Shafiq informed the court about the progress in the acse saying that Fauzia's meeting with her sister Aafia Siddiqui in the US jail has been arranged along with Senator Mushtaq Ahmed and Senator Talha.
On the other hand, speaking to the media outside IHC, Fauzia Siddiqui's lawyer said that there were security concerns about Fauzia Siddiqui's visit to the US, on which the court directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure her security.
The lawyer further said that Aafia is incarcerated in a small cell of the notorious prison of America. She was tortured in the jail and is living worse than animals. We are trying to get her jail changed for immediate relief.
It is pertinent to note that Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui met her sister, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, who is imprisoned in US.
