Lahore:  Former Pakistan Captain Babar Azam has extended good wishes to Opener Batsman Imamul Haq over starting a new chapter of his life.

Taking to X, Babar Azam shared his picture with Imamul Haq and wrote, “Time to open your new innings of life @ImamUlHaq12! 🎆 Best of luck in the new journey. May it bring all the happiness in the world.

Please try to spend some time with your friends as well from now. Bhool na jana 😝,”.

On Saturday, Pakistani cricketer Imam-ul-Haq entered marital bliss as he exchanged vows with Anmol Mehmood, his fiancée from Norway, who gained prominence following a mehndi event in the Scandinavian country.

Imam-ul-Haq shared glimpses from his post-nikkah photoshoot on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), showcasing the couple in elegant attire for their special day.

Expressing his sentiments, the cricketer conveyed, "Today, we've not only become partners for life but have also solidified the bond of best friendship, which has always been the foundation of our love story."

In a heartfelt note, he continued, “Today, I not only married my best friend but also found my forever home in your heart. Keep us in your prayers,”

The festivities officially commenced on Thursday with a qawwali night in Lahore, marking the beginning of Imam-ul-Haq's wedding events.

Images and videos from the Lahore event circulated widely on social media, capturing the presence of former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, Imam's best friend. Alongside Babar, notable figures such as Pakistani cricketers Usman Qadir, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Kamran Akmal, and former chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq also graced the occasion.
