The cricket community had been abuzz with discussions about Naseem's potential move, as reports surfaced indicating his decision to part ways with Quetta Gladiators.
Several PSL franchises were keen on acquiring the 20-year-old's services, but Islamabad United emerged victorious in securing the young pacer.
In exchange, Abrar Ahmed and Muhammad Wasim Jr., who were part of Islamabad United, have moved to Quetta Gladiators as part of the trade.
Earlier, there had been speculations about Naseem Shah that he was considering joining Multan Sultans or Peshawar Zalmi but Islamabad United secured his signature.
The PSL 9 draft is still 11 days away, but Islamabad United has already strengthened its squad with the addition of two standout players in the shorter format.
Imad Wasim, a left-handed all-rounder and the Player of the Tournament in PSL 8, joined the Islamabad United.
This trade involved pacer Hasan Ali moving to Karachi Kings. Imad Wasim showcased his prowess with 404 runs and nine wickets in 10 matches during the previous season.
