The petitioner requested the Election Commission that PTI intra-party elections should be declared null and void.
Islamabad: The intra-party elections of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have been challenged in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
According to the petition filed in the Election Commission, the petitioner was the former Deputy Secretary General of Islamabad and wanted to contest the elections for Secretary General of PTI.
In the text of the petition, it is said that there was no schedule of PTI intra-elections, neither voter lists were issued nor was any activity in the central secretariat.
It has been further stated that the petitioner wanted to contest for the general secretary in the intra-party elections of PTI, but he could not be aware of the schedule be found.
The petitioner requested the Election Commission that PTI did not conduct the intra-party elections in accordance with the law and party constitution, therefore it should be declared null and void.
