It has been stated that the Ministry of Finance had previously released 10 billion rupees.

Islamabad: Finance Ministry Tuesday released more funds to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the general elections.
According to the announcement issued by the Ministry of Finance, funds of Rs17.40 billion have been issued to the Election Commission.
It has been stated that the Ministry of Finance had previously released 10 billion rupees and now a total of Rs27.40 billion have been issued to the Election Commission.
It is pertinent to note that 42 billion rupees were allocated for the election in the budget. The Election Commission had summoned the Finance Secretary yesterday due to non-disbursement of funds.
