According to the notification, grade 21 officer will get Rs55,536 instead of 1300 free units per month.


Islamabad: The facility of free electricity for the officers of the power companies has been terminated.
The Ministry of Energy issued an office memorandum to abolish free electricity units for officers of grade 17 and above in light of the government's decision.
According to the notification, officers of grades 17 to 21 will get cash instead of monthly free units and the end of free renewal facility will be effective from December 1, 2023.
The notification stated that Grade 17 officers will get Rs15,858 per month instead of free units and Grade 18 officers will get Rs21,996 per month instead of 600 free units.
An officer of grade 19 will get Rs37,594 instead of 880 free units per month, and grade 20 officer will get Rs46,992 instead of 1100 free units per month.
According to the notification, grade 21 officer will get Rs55,536 instead of 1300 free units per month.
The approval of money instead of units for the officers has been taken from the Energy Committee of the Cabinet and the Federal Cabinet, which will now be formally implemented.
