The attempt to smuggle weapons in huge quantities is a questionable sign of the Afghan government's claims of not using them against Pakistan's soil.

Kabul: Pakistani authorities have recovered modern American weapons from a vehicle coming from Afghanistan and arrested the Afghan driver from whom important revelations are expected during the investigation.
Customs enforcement officials and security forces at the Pak-Afghan Torkham border foiled an attempt to smuggle modern US weapons from sacks full of onions during checking from a vehicle coming from Afghanistan to Pakistan.
According to the authorities, the weapons recovered include M4, Kalashnikov, magazines, thousands of bullets of various types, American rifle grenades, night vision sights and laser beam. While the Afghan driver was detained during the operation, important revelations are expected during the investigation.
The attempt to smuggle weapons in huge quantities is a questionable sign of the Afghan government's claims of not using them against Pakistan's soil. Evidence of the use of foreign weapons and Afghan terrorists in many terrorist incidents has come to light.
Pakistan expects Afghanistan to take concrete steps against Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and stop illegal arms smuggling.
