Hammad Azhar appointed PTI Punjab acting president
The former federal minister will look after the affairs of the party until Dr. Yasmin Rashid assumed the charge.
Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has given additional charge of Punjab acting president to former Federal Minister Hammad Azhar.
Hammad Azhar will look after the affairs of the party in Punjab until Dr. Yasmin Rashid assumed the charge.
PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub issued the notification.
Taking to X, the PTI confirmed the development, “Hammad Azhar (@Hammad_Azhar ) has been assigned the additional charge of Acting President PTI Punjab with immediate effect, till the time Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, President PTI Punjab assumes her office.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid who was previously appointed as PTI Punjab President has been in jail for last seven months. She was booked in different cases including the May 9 incidents.
