Former Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa joins PTI
The former PPP leader, who is a senior lawyer, has joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at this difficult time, hoping that the politics of hate will come to an end.
Lahore: Former Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khan Khosa joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday.
“I hope that the politics of hate will come to an end,” said Sardar Latif Khan Khosa while talking to the reporters in Lahore on Sunday.
He is a prominent figure in the legal and the political circles and his joining at this moment will strengthen the PTI and its image. Many people left the PTI these days, and during these difficult times, Khosa decided to join the PTI.
He rejected the impression that the PTI was against the army or other state institutions, saying that “The army and other state institutions belong to us
Khosa, who was the former leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), had been fighting legal cases of Imran Khan and the PTI leaders. He emphasized upon supremacy of the law and the constitution, saying that the person always finds respect when he talks about supremacy of the law and the Constitution.
Latif Khosa also condemned detention of Sher Afzal Marwat from outside the Lahore High Court (LHC), saying that it was totally wrong and against the law.
He also questioned the DROS and ROs from the bureaucracy, claiming that they could not take stand and would make independent decisions. He also hoped that the judiciary would dispense with the justice.
